Refunds and Cancellations
Membership / Pass Cancellation
Annual and 6-Month memberships are non-refundable 60 days after date of purchase. A $50 cancellation fee plus prorated pass fee applies for cancellation within 60 days.
Chapter 93, Section 81 of the General Laws of Massachusetts allows consumers to cancel health club contracts for any reason within "three business days after the date of receipt by the buyer of a copy of the written contract or written receipt indicating the buyer's payment for health club services."
Downgrades / Upgrades
Patrons may request an upgrade/downgrade on membership status* and/or term.** To upgrade or downgrade a membership, the appropriate form needs to be submitted two weeks prior to current membership expiration date.
Upgrades/downgrades are only available while a membership is active. When upgrading/downgrading membership status, the original expiration date will remain the same and the membership will be prorated. When upgrading/downgrading a membership term, the expiration date will reflect the term you upgrade to and the membership fee will be prorated.
*Status refers to Membership Categories (i.e. Faculty/staff, alumni, affiliate, etc.)
**Term refers to membership length (i.e. annual, 6 month, etc.)
Membership Freeze
Membership freezes are honored for medical reasons only on a case by case basis.
Monthly, weekly, and daily passes are non-refundable and non-transferable.
