Lifeguard Training Register Now
The lifeguard training course will train participants in lifeguard skills and knowledge to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive the Lifeguard Training, First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certificates, all of which are now valid for 2 years.
Participants must be 15 years old on or before the last day of the class. Participants must also pass the standard course prerequisites that will held on the first day.
Prerequisites: 300 yard swim (100 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, and 100 of your choice of any stroke on your front), treading water with legs only, and picking a 10lb object up off the bottom of the pool (swim 20 yards, surface dive of 7-10 feet, and retrieve the object and return to the starting point, within 1 minute and 40 seconds).
Refunds will not be given to those who fail the prerequisites.
Lifeguard Training Review Register Now
Lifeguards MUST have a current certification to register for this course. If your certification is expired, you will be required to take the full Lifeguard Training course.
This course allows those who are currently certified in Lifeguard Training to renew their certification and upgrade to r.12 version. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive the Lifeguard Training certificate valid for 2 years. Participants will also receive a First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certificate which is valid for 2 years. In order to be eligible for the Lifeguard Review Course, participant must have proof of Lifeguard and CPR certification which has expired within the previous calendar year. Participants need to bring their own pocket mask and certification to class. Course materials are available online and the class instructor will provide books to use in class. You may purchase your own lifeguarding manual and/or pocket mask at our Pro Shop if needed. Participants must also pass the standard course prerequisites (see Lifeguard Training description for the prerequisites). Refunds will not be given to those who fail the prerequisites.
Water Safety Instructor Register Now
The purpose of this course is to train instructor candidates to teach water safety courses, including the Basic Water Rescue course, six levels of Learn to Swim, and Parent and Child aquatic classes. Fundamentals of Instructor Training (FIT) is included in this course. Prerequisites: Minimum age of 16 by the end of the course. Successful demonstration of Red Cross Level 4 swim strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly, and maintain treading for one minute in deep water.
Refund will not be given to those who fail the prerequisites.
