Detailed Pool Schedule
The detailed schedule shows the general areas and hours the pools are open for recreational swimming or specific groups. The actual lane designations will be defined by management according to participation and administrative constraints. Recreational lap swimming is denoted by 'Rec Swim' in the pool schedule. The detailed schedule has been color coded to be user friendly, please refer to the color key at the bottom of each detailed schedule. The following schedules are available and require adobe acrobat.

Aquatic Schedule List Serve:

For new aquatic program info, facility holiday hours, aquatic events, and major changes to the pool schedule please subscribe to our aquatic list serve by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with "subscribe" in the subject line. You will receive 1 email each Friday unless there is a major facility update.

Youth Hours (under 18 years old):

• Zesiger Center: Sept to May children are allowed in the Zesiger Center Mon-Fri 6a-5p and 7p-11p, Sat and Sun all facility hours
• During holidays, winter break, and during the summer youth are allowed in the Zesiger Center during all facility hours.

• Alumni/Wang Center: Children are allowed during all facility hours.

Women's Only Swim

We will offer Women's Only Recreational Lap Swimming during the class times and dates as well. For Women's Only Rec Swim it is free for members, $5 for students to any university, and $10 for non-students. Women's Only Recreational Swimming will continue throughout the year on Tuesdays 9:30p-10:30p Jan 8-May 7 at Alumni Pool. Please click here for the flier.

Recreational Diving

Come try out the Zesiger Center 1 meter springboard! All ages welcome, all participants must be able to swim 25 yards unassisted. Sundays 4p-5p Jan 6- May 5. Please note we will not offer this on swim meet weekends, please check the pool schedule before coming to the pool. Please note a diving coach will not be available during this time, so all dives must be forward dives with no twists or flips, please click here for Rec Diving Rules.

Long Course (50 Meter Lanes)

The Zesiger Center Competition Pool will be set up May 4-August 14th with 8 lanes that are 50 meters in length. Please note we will be getting a new scoreboard which will cause us to change to short course (25 yards) for 4 weeks during the installation time. Those dates have note been confirmed yet, but once they are we will let you know.

Swim and Boat Test

Interested finishing up your MIT swim requirement or would like to use the MIT Sailing Pavillion? Come to the Zesiger Center Pool Deck with your MIT ID any Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday 8am or 8pm all year round. The MIT PE Swim test is a 100 yard swim, the MIT PE Swim and Boat Test is a 100 yard swim followed by 10 minutes of treading water. You can also sign up for group or private swim lessons to complete your PE Swim Requirement instead of the swim test. Aquatic Research and Testing

MIT Recreational Sports supports MIT's needs for aquatic facility space to conduct research and testing on ROV (remote operated vehicles) and other aquatic research needs.  For details on reserving space and limitations of what may be tested in our facility please see the Student Research and Testing documentation.
