Registration Procedures

Registration Procedure
All American Red Cross Classes held at the Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center are open to the students & staff of MIT as well as the public. Registration is on a first come first serve basis. If we do not have our minimum enrollment (please see class description) , 4-days prior to the class start date, the class will be cancelled.

To register you must go to the Main Customer Service Desk at the Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center at MIT, during business hours. 
Our hours of operation during the academic year are: Monday through Friday 6a-11p, Sat 7a-9p, and Sun 9a-11p.
During the summer (June 9- August 19) we are open Monday through Friday 6a-9p, Sat 9a-4p, and Sun 11a-6p.
 
We do not accept online or over the phone registration for any of our classes.
 
If you cannot come to 120 Vassar Street to register, you may also register by sending in the registration forms through the mail. This option will NOT reserve your spot in the class until we have received the actual registrations forms and the class fee.
 
If you would like the registration forms to be mailed to you please send an email to arcinfo@mit.edu with your name, phone number, email address, the American Red Cross class you are interested in, and also a mailing address, and we will send the registration forms to you in the mail.

We are located at 120 Vassar St, Cambridge off Mass Ave.

Payment must be made with registration. We accept cash, check, master card, visa or discover.

Refund Policy for All American Red Cross Classes
Full Refunds will be available only to those who sign up for a course that is ultimately cancelled or who withdraws from a course eight or more days prior to the scheduled start date.

Persons who withdraw within one week of the scheduled start date will be eligible for a 50% refund.

No refund will be given to persons who fail the pre-course skills assessment (if applicable) or who withdraw from the course on the day of, or at any point following the scheduled start date.

Persons who fail the pre-course skills assessment and wish to register for another course at a later date may apply their tuition to another course, subject to space availability and an additional fee (see Program Director for amount). Any such request must be approved in advanced.

All students will be given a second chance at the practical skills and/or the written exam if they fail, but if they fail a second time they will receive no refund. If Medical reasons are involved, please see Program Director.
