NIRSA Rec Sports Day

NIRSA_Rec_Sports_Day

We are well into the new year, classes are in session and the MIT Community has adjusted back into our usual routine. As is routine for us here at MIT Recreation, we are preparing programs and events that help us all take a break to enjoy some of our favorite health and wellness activities. What better way to take a break than joining other colleges and universities across the country in observing National NIRSA Rec Sports and Fitness Day?

To celebrate all the intangibles that make recreation worth your while, MIT Recreation is hosting a variety of free events that will get you away from your daily responsibilities and into a little fun on Monday, February 22, 2016. Whether you like to lift, swim, dance or run, there’s something for everyone. Some events are just drop-in sessions and others you can register for ahead of time, see the details below:

  • The Perfect Squat Workshop
    9:00am & 4:00pm at the Z Center, 2nd Fitness Floor

What is NIRSA anyhow? NIRSA is a national association that “comprises and supports leaders in collegiate recreation.” Each year, schools across the country organize and promote events on campus to celebrate campus recreation.
