Bollywood Bhangra (Wang Fitness Center, Studio) Register Now
A high-energy and fun class combining moves from Bollywood movies and Indian folk dances, including the Bhangra. Engaging the body and the mind, it will put a smile on your face and give you cardiovascular and muscle strengthening workout without you even knowing it. So, let loose, adorn the avatar of a Bollywood star, hear your heart pumping and get your feet moving to the exotic and magical sounds of Indian music!

Belly Dance Fitness (DuPont, T-Club Lounge) Register Now
A fun and fit way to build strength and confidence, Belly Dance Fitness focuses on the art of Middle Eastern Dance. Learn Arabic dance techniques to good grooves in a fun and friendly environment through working core muscles and cardio. Along with the isolation and control of head, shoulders, and hips, this course focuses on shimmying and other techniques seen in modern, fusion, and folkloric Arabic dance.

Capoeira Angola (Wang Fitness Center, Studio) Register Now
This art developed in Brazil from a variety of African sources N’golo from Angola, rhythms from Congo, and acrobatics from Guinea combined to form a martial art disguised as a dance and played like a game. All these elements together with a deliberate sense of fun result in a vigorous workout for the body and mind.

Cardio Jump Rope (Wang Fitness Center, Studio) Register Now
Jump roping is one of the most efficient exercises that you can do, toning your muscles and working your heart simultaneously. Jump roping is considered interval training which not only torches nearly 500 calories in just 30 minutes, but significantly improves your coordination, speed, agility, endurance and timing. In this 30 min class, beginners will learn basic jump roping techniques and footwork patterns to challenge coordination.  Experienced jump ropers will have the opportunity to learn double-unders and improve their footwork technique as well. Jump ropes and great music will be provided.

Effective Heart Rate Monitor Training (Zesiger Center, MAC) Register Now
Heart monitors are one of the most effective aids for tracking and developing your progress on the path to increased aerobic endurance and earning better race results. While many athletes own heart monitors, they may not be using the devices to their full potential. In "Effective Heart Rate Training," you'll discover how to track and improve your cardiovascular fitness, prevent over-training, prevent under-training, and accurately measure your heart's work rate. Over the course of eight classes, you'll work up from base heart rate training to a hypothetical "Race Day".

Hip Hop Dance (DuPont, T-Club Lounge) Register Now
This workout combines great music with fun hip-hop moves in a cardio/dance format, taught with easy progressions and options for all levels. After warm-up, students will learn recent and funky dance combinations to pop and hip-hop music.

Intense Interval Training (Zesiger Center, MAC) Register Now
An intense workout that will provide results sizzling results. This class consists of interval sessions of cardio and strength training that will keep your heart rate up to keep you in shape during winter. The constantly changing class will keep your muscles confused and challenged every week!

Intro to Group Exercise (Wang Fitness Center, Studio) Register Now
Ever wanted to try group exercise but didn’t know where to start? Then this is the class for you. This course will introduce you to the 8 most popular forms of group exercise including; cycling, kickboxing, yoga, Zumba, Pilates, step, body sculpt and water aerobics. Not only will every workout be different, but you’ll learn so many new ways to exercise. As for that first group exercise class, you’ll know exactly what to do!

Learn Massage (W59, Conference Room) Register Now
This course combines various massage techniques, with a cursory view of anatomy & physiology, theory and application of therapeutic massage. As is the nature of massage, this course is experiential and the material will be presented in lecture-demonstration, discussion, and hands-on participation. Have fun and feel great learning something very useful for you and for others.

Learn to Love Running (Johnson/Zesiger Main lobby) Register Now
Running, the most fundamental, cheapest and scenic workout there is. But for some, running can be painful and not enjoyable. Led by an expert runner, this class will help you identify proper running form, stride length and even footwear. You'll learn how to monitor heart rate, gradually increase distance and speed as well as decrease injury. Most importantly, you'll learn to love running. Whether you are a beginner to running or want to learn to do it better, this class is a must!

Tri-Fitness (Zesiger Center) Register Now
Run, Bike and Swim! Whether you want to train to complete a sprint triathlon or just want a great cross-training weekly workout, this class is for you! The class meets 3 times a week, each day you’ll swim, bike OR run. You’ll get expert advice on all three sports and have a fun group to workout out with!
