Class Descriptions

20/20/20

Run, Bike Swim. Do a mini triathlon every Friday morning. This class is a great cardio workout
and perfect for the triathlete (or triathlete at heart!)

Advanced Step

A creative, new approach to common step techniques. Slightly more advanced choreography
for a fun and challenging class.  Class limit - 25

 Yoga Basics

An introductory class that flows at a perfect pace for those just beginning to practice yoga. Strengthen the mind/body connection by linking breath with a series of dynamic postures that will improve your flexibility and strength. Class limit- 25 

Body Sculpt **Drop-in Recreation Class

Increase lean muscle tissue and metabolism. Offers a non-aerobic workout by incorporating a variety of resistance equipment.
Class limit - 25

Cardio Combo **Drop-in Recreation Class

This class uses creative choreography to get your heart pumping and offers a total body
workout. Fun for all fitness levels. Class limit – 25

 Cycle Option 30 or 60

A 30 or 60 minute cycling class… you choose! An instructor will lead the class through hills, sprints and climbs. You can choose to cycle for the first 30 minute portion or stay for a challenging
60 minute ride. Either way it’s a great cardio workout! Class limit – 13

 Guts, Butts and Thighs

Use the full 45-minutes to target a specific area…lower body. Using your own body weight and other equipment, tone and trim your lower body. You will be able to feel those muscles by the end of this workout. Class limit –25

 

Interval Shallow Water

A challenging water workout that improves your cardiovascular fitness and burns more calories. This class is designed with short bursts of high intensity activity for a challenging interval workout. Class limit - 15

Kickboxing

A cardiovascular workout that uses punches, kicks, and blocks to increase your heart rate. This fun, energizing class offers various levels to meet everyone's needs. Work on endurance, strength and coordination while burning tons of calories and learning the basics of boxing. Class limit – 25

Pilates

This class is focused on building strength without bulk, improving flexibility and agility, and helping to prevent injury. It involves a series of controlled movements that engage both your body and mind. The primary focus is on awareness of the spine, proper breathing, core strength and flexibility. Class limit -25

Pilates

A fresh spin on basic Pilates mat work, using all sorts of props- rings, bands, balls, rollers and weights to name a few- to increase resistance, challenge stability, and tone your body head to toe. Each class will be different, introducing new props and choreography for a fun, exciting and effective workout. Class limit -25

Pool Tools

A fun and challenging class using hand buoys, noodles, paddles and ankle cuffs. This is a fun and innovative class designed for new or experienced exercisers! Think outside the box as you noodle surf to strengthen your core, mogul sky with ankle cuffs and do aqua push-ups to strengthen arms and upper back! Class is held in deep water. Class limit - 15

 Power Cycle

The ultimate indoor cycling experience! Follow your instructor through a variety of drills such as intervals, speed, and hill climbing. This class is a great cardio workout and a lot of fun! Class limit - 13

Power Yoga

Experience the dynamic flow and challenge of this class, while still getting the mind/body benefits of Yoga. Specifically focuses on toning and strengthening while also increasing flexibility. Active and rejuvenating! Class limit – 25

Restorative Yoga

Designed to increase flexibility and manage injuries, this healing practice will submerge your body and mind in the art of moving meditation. You  will develop a well-rounded practice and further your understanding of the mind/body connection. Class limit - 25

Shallow H2O Power Hour

Saturday, 9:15 - 10:15 am, Zesiger Center  Pool
Provides a high-intensity workout using water resistance without the impact of traditional land classes. Class is held in shallow water. Class limit - 15

Step

A mixture of high and low-impact on a step with an adjustable platform. With simple choreographed routines, you will challenge your cardiovascular system and your legs! Class limit - 25

Stability/Core Conditioning

Get on the ball and get moving! This class challenges core and stability muscles through the use of a BOSU, Stability Ball, & Medicine balls. Offers a challenging and invigorating workout - but you’ll have a blast! All abilities welcome. Class limit- 13

Strictly Strength

This class provides a full-body sculpting and toning workout. Workouts focus on all major muscle groups. Teaching focuses on proper form and technique. Class limit- 25

Vinyasa Yoga

Teaches breathing techniques and movement through a series of poses designed to improve strength and flexibility. All fitness levels welcome. Class limit – 25

Yoga

This ancient natural method for achieving and maintaining physical, mental and emotional health is the hottest form of exercise right now. This class includes classical yoga postures, warm-ups, breathing techniques, and relaxation methods. Benefits include: stress release, body tone and strength, weight control, improved body alignment and flexibility and better concentration.

Zumba

“Ditch the workout, Join the Party”. Formally known as “Latin Rhythms”, Zumba  is a fusion of Latin and International music / dance themes that create a dynamic and exciting, yet easy to follow, class! It combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations making for a “feel-happy” workout that is great for both the body and the mind! Class limit - 25
