Glute-Ham Raise Machine

What’s new? Well, back in October the 2nd floor fitness center at the Z received a light makeover. Our fitness team made more space for stretching and picked out some improved equipment including new benches, racks, bars, and an entirely new machine – the Glute Ham Raise (GHR) also called the Glute Ham Developer (GHD).  This piece is specifically used for increased development of the glutes, hamstrings, and some lower back muscles.  When using the GHR correctly you can work the entire length of the spine, knee and hip extension of the hamstring.  It puts less spinal pressure and has a greater range of motion throughout the exercise than the back extension.
