Rowing
The Pierce Boathouse grants access for recreational sculling to adults with a fitness center membership. Those who know how to row already may become cleared to scull unsupervised from April 1 through September 30. Those without experience or seeking to develop further may take a sculling class, offered each summer.

RECREATIONAL SCULLING
Recreational sculling shells are available for use by those qualified to row unsupervised. In order to use them an individual must: a) have a current fitness center membership, b) pass the swim/boat test, c) pass both a written and practical exam of sculling knowledge, and d) pay the annual fee.
Day/Time: Weekdays, during boathouse open hours

SCULLING CLASS
This class is suitable for those who wish to learn to row, or to improve their sculling skills. Each participant will take to the water in a single-person recreational shell and scull along the Charles River. Experience is not necessary, but participants must be at least 18 years of age and pass the small-boat swim test (mitpe.com/swim-boat-test). A DAPER Membership is not required.
Dates: Tuesday and Thursday's from 6/4 - 7/18 (no class 7/2 and 7/4).
Time: 6:00pm - 7:30pm
