Stand Up Paddle Board Classes

Indoor and outdoor Stand Up Paddle Board classes will take your fitness to a new level by combining paddling, plyometrics, strength training, and core stability! Please check back during the summer for class dates and times.

MIT SUP Rating Course

SUP Rating Class

This 45 minute class is designed to introduce you to stand-up paddle board, teach you the basic techniques and go over the rules of the Charles River. You will need to take this rating class or another SUP class in order to take the boards out or with a partner.

MIT SUP Intro Class

Intro to SUP

This beginner level course will provide you with the basic equipment knowledge, paddling concepts, and confidence to efficiently explore this exciting sport. You will soon discover that you are having a blast while providing your body a great outdoor workout.

MIT SUP Sunset Class

Sunset SUP

Enjoy an evening on the river with Sunset SUP.  This 2 hour class will tour through the Charles River at its most beautiful time. No previous experience needed.

MIT SUP Charles River Tour

Charles River Tour

This class is geared towards those who have already taken an Intro SUP class. You will see all the sites including the Boston Esplande, Charles River Lagoon, The Museum of Science and learn different paddle strokes that will enhance your SUP experience.

MIT SUP Fitness

SUP Fitness

This outdoor, full-body, low impact workout challenges your every muscle all while honing your balance. Class begins with a half hour of paddle instruction, followed by an hour of paddle sprints, balance challenges and strength exercises. No experience necessary.

MIT SUP Race Day

SUP Race Day

Ever want to try Stand Up Paddle Board Racing? BIC's One Design Race Series is the perfect opportunity to test your skills. Races will be available on the hour starting at 9.  You can give it a try after taking our intro to paddling or our SUP Fitness class.

Cancellation Policy
SUP Classes - Full refunds will be given to participants registered for a class that is cancelled and to those who withdraw from a class 8 or more days before the scheduled start date. Participants who withdraw within 1 week of the scheduled start date will be eligible for a 50% refund. No refund will be given to persons who withdraw from courses within 1 day of or after the scheduled start date.
