Terrence Payne

While Terrence Payne did not graduate from MIT, he did make the move to Alumni, as the Shift Leader, Evening Operations at the Alumni Pool/Wang Fitness Center in August 2026. He had previously bounced around between there and the Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center beginning in early 2025.
A native of Springfield, Massachusetts, and a graduate of The Birthplace of Basketball Springfield College, Terrence has worked in sports in some capacity since he was a teenager. Beginning as a scorekeeper at BasketBull basketball tournaments, he eventually made stops with MassLive, ESPN Boston, NBC Sports, The Hoop Group, FOX Sports and Under Armour among other places.
Off campus, he enjoys traveling to his favorite cities – Chicago, Washington, D.C. and Portland, Maine – and watching his favorite teams – the Celtics, Patriots, Braves and Bruins.
