YOUTH RESTRICTION HOURS AND POLICIES
During the MIT Academic Year, youth cannot enter the Zesiger Center from 5–7 PM, Monday–Friday. This is our busiest period, and youth access during these times would increase crowding. This restriction does not apply to the Alumni/Wang facility or during summer, winter, and holiday schedules.
Year-Round Access Restrictions
Under 18: Not permitted on the 2nd floor of Zesiger or Alumni/Wang Fitness Centers
Under 13: Not permitted on the 3rd floor fitness center
Ages 13–17: May participate in Group Exercise classes with a parent/guardian present (both must have active Recreation accounts and register separately). Teens wishing to use fitness facilities must complete an evaluation and safety instruction with a DAPER personal trainer. Upon completion, they'll receive a pass allowing 3rd floor access when accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Important Note: Youth restriction peak hours (5–7 PM) apply regardless of other qualifications above.
