Inside Out Program
A free virtual program emphasizing the various depths in bettering oneself. Each week, complete a traditional workout inside, get fresh air with an outdoor activity, and focus on a healthy mind and positive attitude.
Free MIT Recreation Group Exercise Class – Mat Pilates
Strengthen all muscles around the core to help prevent injuries, improve balance, strength, and flexibility. Yoga mat or carpet recommended.
On Demand ‘Curb or Stair Workout’
Can be done outside on a curb, on a stair, or with a stable step/bench!
No machines? No problem! Boost your metabolism and build your total body strength in this action-packed class that’s suitable for all fitness levels and exercise environments.
Family Friendly Workout!
Play frisbee or catch and complete 3 jumping jacks, squats, or push ups after each toss! Make sure to stretch afterwards.
Free MIT Recreation Group Exercise Class – Virtual Wake-up & Stretch Yoga
Wednesday and Friday 7:30am – 8:30 am
Starting with gentle stretching postures, the class will move through sun salutations and work toward a peak posture that gets you focused and ready for the day. Modifications to postures will be suggested.
NIRSA REGION 15K
NIRSA is the national association for campus recreation. The Region 1 5K will gather students and members from colleges and universities in New England, NY, NJ, PA, DC, MD and DE to run virtually, together! It was created to promote healthy activity, engagement, and encourage some socially distanced fun. The Region I Virtual 5K is an activity that can be completed from any location you choose. A treadmill, a neighborhood street, a track, a foothill trail…it’s up to you. You get to choose your own route, at your own pace, and time it yourself!
Free MIT Recreation Group Exercise Class – ZUMBA
Tuesdays 12:00 – 12:45
“Ditch the workout, Join the Party”. Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music /dance themes that create a dynamic and exciting, yet easy to follow, class! It combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations making for a “feel-happy” workout that is great for both the body and the mind!
Family Friendly Workout!
Take a walk or hike this week with a friend or family member. Try to identify 3 different types of flowers!

Pilates is a core-focused workout that improves your alignment, balance, strength and flexibility. The mat-based exercises strengthen the muscles around the spine and pelvis to help prevent injuries.
