60 Days of Wellness is Back!
Let’s face it, y’all…taking care of ourselves physically and mentally can be difficult around the holidays. Part of the issue many of us have with maintaining healthy habits is that we have limited time; finding the time to exercise is tough enough but it becomes even more daunting when we try to determine what type of workout we want to embark upon. Fortunately, the MIT Recreation team is here to help you finish 2023 strong with our annual 60 Days of Wellness program, open now for registration below and starting on November 1st!
This year, we’ve revamped the program by dividing it into three sections, each of which are three weeks long. The themes of the three sections are (in order) Starting Strong, Progress Makes Perfect, and Locking In. Each of the nine weeks has a diverse set of challenges that are designed to help us focus on holistic health by emphasizing physical fitness, healthy habits, and social wellness. As a sneak preview for you, a few examples of challenges you’ll encounter during the program are as follows:
- Create at least one SMART Goal for yourself
- Hold a plank for one minute
- Drink 4-5 glasses of water today
Based on the variety of those three challenge examples, you can probably discern the wide-ranging benefits that participating in 60 Days of Wellness can provide for you this holiday season. But don’t just take our word for it- jump in and discover for yourself! Did we mention that you’ll have the opportunity to win some awesome prizes like a 60 minute massage, resistance bands, and a foam roller (to name a few)?
In order to maximize your chances, you’ll want to do the following:
- Complete as many of the challenges as possible: each challenge is worth one entry into the prize drawing!
- Tag us on social media: each engagement with the @MITRecreation account is worth five entries apiece!
- Complete the post-program survey: if you take the time to provide us with feedback at the end of the sixty days, you’ll earn yourself ten entries!
*Note: The maximum number of entries you can accrue in one week is twelve
Seems pretty straightforward, right? The more that you participate, the more your chances of winning a prize increases! But whether or not you win a prize, you’ll be a winner simply for investing in your own health- which is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself this holiday season.
